Waste of Time

“You could try to pound your head against the wall and think of original ideas or you can cheat by reading them in books.”

Patrick Collison

Why don’t you read?

Is it a time thing?

Are you too cool for it?

Or is there nothing you find interesting within books?

Each of these excuses above I used for over a decade and a half.

I was too cool to “waste my time” on a book… books don’t give clout. Book’s don’t pull chicks.

If a genie told my 18 year old self that I’d be reading 3-4 books per month at 24 I’d laugh and walk the other direction.

But that’s the beauty of life, you can laugh at how dumb you were in past years.

I’m still dumb — but not as dumb as I was six years ago.

What am I reading you may ask? I’m shifting gears into health & wellness as I’m in the beginning phases of a new workout split.

  • Boundless by Ben Greenfield is a textbook sized read that goes through every and anything about health & longevity

  • I’m still finishing up Linchpin by Seth Godin — if you’re a new hire at a firm or looking for something to make you think different.. this is a solid one.
