Something to Read: My First Impressions of Web3 | Moxie

Master cryptographer and creator of the messaging app Signal, Matthew Rosenfeld (aka Moxie Marlinspike), has sparked quite a buzz over the past week with his latest blog post around all things Web3.

His writeup caught the attention of some heavyweights like the co-founder of Ethereum, CEO of Coinbase, and even Elon Musk had something to say.

Moxie called out several “chokepoints” of the new-age web3 system. Things around the irony of the decentralization thesis, lack of UI on NFT platforms like OpenSea, and the pitfalls of the overall market.

If you’ve been looking for articles on this topic that aren’t 400 level difficulty this is a good one.

Something to Watch:

Meat-based vs Plant-based Diet for Longevity | David Sinclair and Lex Fridman

Geneticist at Harvard and author David Sinclair speaks about how diet affects longevity.

His thesis statement is that your focus should be on when you eat rather than what you eat.

The idea to eat less is something society has gone far away from, but this chat was a concise refresher on how we all can maximize our lifespan through our eating habits.
