Shila-what?

The best supplement you never heard about.

“Because we cannot scrub our inner body we need to learn a few skills to help cleanse our tissues, organs, and mind. This is the art of Ayurveda.”

Sebastian Pole

Ayurvedic medicine is one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems developed over 3,000 years ago in India.

A vast topic with many categories to explore, but the main purpose this morning is to highlight an an ayurvedic supplement I’ve began to take called shilajit.

So what the hell is a shilajit?

It’s a sticky substance found primarily in the rocks of the Himalayas that contains more than 84 carbon-bonded organic minerals that are preferred by the body.

Benefits of Shilajit:
  1. Brain function

  2. Fertility and testosterone

  3. Anti-aging

  4. Anti-viral

  5. Anti-inflammatory

Why should you take it:

It’s a annoying to sift through the ABCs of supplements sifting the good from the bad, but shilajit deserves some spotlight especially in the times we are in now.

You can find shilajit in powder, capsules, tablets and resin (purest version) form. Of course I’m no doctor or certified practitioner, so conduct your own due diligence on if this is right for you.
