Some may remember the childhood game known as Chinese Whispers, more widely known as “Telephone.”

The first player comes up with a message and whispers it to the ear of the second, third, fourth person and so on.

The lesson in this game comes from comparing the original and final messages.

Whether the process of misinformation exchange was deliberate or accidental, almost every time this game is played — the message is skewed at the end.

The media is the kid in the middle.

The media is that one asshole that throws a wrench in the story and carries misinformation to more and more people.

The spread of misinformation comes additionally in the form of shares and retweets.

Mainstream media has deviated from truth telling to being a footrace to be first, not correct.

The truth will set you free.
