The Race.

“Telling me that I'm obsessed with talking about racism in America is like telling me I'm obsessed with swimming when I'm drowning.”

Hari Kondabolu

Swimming has never been a strength of mine so lets focus on a foot race example.

We line two competitors up in a 100 meter race.

Lane one is clear as the sky above.

Lane two has a hurdle set every 10 meters.

The goal for both participants is the same.

Most would bet that the runner in lane one will beat the runner in lane two — as there are no barriers in front of runner one’s finish line.

Now runner two has no choice but to put twice the effort in just to compete with runner one.

For the same goal of winning the race, one competitor must make leaps and bounds to accomplish while the other just runs.

Social media has taken a large mental burden on myself as well as you reading this — I invite you to watch a 5 minute stand up video of one of my all time favorites.

Laugh a little, it’s free.
