Pay the Farmer

“Good health is not something we can buy. However, it can be an extremely valuable savings account.”

Anne Wilson Schaef

Can’t we buy health? Or can we buy foods that give us the impression that we’re “healthy”?

Organic kale, oat milk, three color quinoa, apple cider vinegar, all seem to be great choices right?

But before you even decide what derivative of milk you want, ask yourself:

Do you drink top-quality water?

What oils do you cook with?

Are you regularly active?

How stressed are you normally?

The focus should be prevention rather than Band-Aids that come in the form of a pill.

They say a healthy man wants 1000 things yet a sick man only wants one thing.

So to stay out of the hospital gown: Pay the farmer — not pharma.

Health is a subject I find fascinating and terribly overcomplicated by mainstream fad diets and bigwig studies that provide no true value to the common person.

Modern Analects is in the process of providing help in this subject in the months to come.

Stay tuned. Stay well.
