Path of least resistance

"It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light."

Aristotle

I had a talk with a friend recently that was on the topic of moving on after a rough breakup.

Although he was in good spirit during the conversation, I could tell there was emotional pain.

“At this point I’ll just hit up a booty call.” he utters.

Life is about choices — and the actions that follow those choices.

He had the urge to make the choice of suppressing his problems with a quick dopamine fix. These fixes come in many forms.

Cocaine, pornography, alcohol, video games — all are band-aids to problems that require more than a quick fix.

If life presents two choices, one easy choice and the other a hard choice.

The easier choice is usually not the best choice to make.
