Nine to Five

“It's bizarre to have both a super-connected and disconnected world. Like, you can use Twitter in the most narcissistic way. Do people really need to know that I'm drinking a latte right now? It's so indulgent.”

Pete Wentz

When Henry Ford birthed a new culture when he made the ‘nine to five’ mainstream in the 1920s.You clocked in, then clocked out. Work talk stopped one you got home since Outlook didn’t exist. The culture is shifting once again as it becomes more acceptable to work in the same space you live in.Results and quotas can be met as you lay in bed and your boss wouldn’t know.As we begin to define new norms it’s imperative to still disconnect.Turning your work laptop off means nothing if your phone is within arms reach.
