Homer & Lenny

“Compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it; he who doesn’t, pays it.”

Albert Einstein

We have two friends, lets call them Homer and Lenny.

Homer and Lenny have been best friends since grade school and share lots of common interests.

The one difference among all the similarities is Lenny has always been better with money than Homer.

Homer and Lenny are coming up on their 65th birthdays and can’t wait to retire in Florida together.

Both invested $10,000 in the stock market — Lenny invested once he graduated college at 22 while Homer slacked off and began at 32.

They both were able to get a 10% yearly return and all they had to do is wait.

The time came and both friends went to the bank, excited to withdraw their funds.

Lenny was able to take $600,000 down to Florida while Homer ended up with a grand total of $230,000.

Lenny felt bad and he took the bar tab that night.
