Education vs learning

“A degree on the wall means you’re educated as much as the shoes on your feet mean walking. It's a start, but hardly sufficient.”

Ryan Holiday

College degrees are commonly looked at as a means to an end. A necessary finish line that you must cross in order to be a proper citizen.

We leave one system to be plugged into another — the key difference is how will you spend your free hours.

It does not matter if you specialized in finance or political science, nor does it matter if your salary is a result of that specialization.

The difference between education and learning is that the latter doesn’t have boundaries.

Learning is curiosity in motion — it’s a total disservice to halt learning the same time your formal education ends.
