Why Won’t Congress Do What Mark Cuban Is Doing For Affordable Drug Prices?

Mark Cuban, billionaire and co-owner of the the American basketball team, the Dallas Mavericks, has added another business to his portfolio: prescription drugs.

As an American myself, I'm critical on several aspects of life here in the US. One in particular is the how we treat general health and wellness in comparison to other parts of the world.

No country is perfect, but that's what gives folks the opportunity to create assets and businesses to spark change in their communities.

And with Cuban's business (CostPlus Drug Company), they practice something that many of it's competitors don't - transparency.

“Shockingly, in the USA, it’s not unusual for disadvantaged populations to suffer from rampant outbreaks of hookworm. Normally the drug prescribed for hookworm, Albendazole, can cost as much as $500 per course, making the drug out of reach for many in need.”
