Conquering Grief
“It’s better to conquer grief than to deceive it.”
Seneca
Grief is a response to the inevitable.
A response that many attempt to avoid, but a necessary step forward.
The opposite is easier, suppression takes less effort.
But suppressing emotions can be compared to putting a band aid on a gunshot wound.
And learning to be in charge of your emotions is a task within itself but it’s worth attempting.
I’ll admit grieving feels brand new every time death visits.
Especially in a time where a life can be taken so quickly.
To Ajay, Gabby, Matt, Penny & Lou, Nick, and anyone else who’s began this process once again.
Let’s move forward — together.
