We went from hunting and gathering to Doordashing and Uber Eating.

From horse and buggy to now almost self driving.

And a great as these advances are, there are some drawbacks.

One drawback to highlight is how soft we've gotten as a society overall.

The struggle, the moments of doubt, that "dip" before you achieve something is what gives milestones their spark.

Folks like Jerry Seinfeld and Michael Jordan value the struggle. There's no reason to live without something to struggle towards.

Something to Watch:

I believe it's essential to be aware of your vice(s) and to have the ability to be in control over them rather than the opposite.

A vice of mine is alcohol... cocktails infused with gin and various beers are part of many weekends of mine. But i'm at the turning point where the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.

I thought it would be an effective exercise to participate in what comedian Joe Rogan calls Sober October.

The remarks made from this video almost sold me to at least try a 30 day hiatus.

Alcohol is the only drug where if you don't do it, people assume you have a problem.
