Another Day in Paradise

Wake up, press snooze.

Drag yourself out of bed by 8:45.

Finish that breakfast wrap and wash it down with some holiday blend.

Mindlessly scroll through your social apps.

Like a child looking inside their full fridge.

Type away for several hours till the bell rings.

You then pour that leftover wine from Thanksgiving to unwind.

And turn on that new season of Schitt’s Creek.

Life’s easy when you’re on autopilot right?

And to many this is another day in paradise.

But whatever your definition of paradise is, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

And the beholder has the power to change.

The power to change their paradise to something a bit more meaningful.
